Video Game Storage Alternatives

June 18, 2011.

For those who have been collecting video games for some time already, you probably have quite a huge collection. This would mean you may easily run out of space to put your games unless you get additional video game storage.

The challenge may come if your home doesn’t have much space in your home. You may find getting additional furniture near impossible. This would call for some other alternative. Let’s look into a few of these.

Recycling is a cheap solution. Try and locate those old biscuit bins you have accumulated. They may be either plastic or tin- anything will do. These have lids so would be a good way to keep your games away from dust and liquids. If you want to decorate them a bit, you can simply cover them up with some good looking paper or plastic and they will be good enough to be displayed. Or else, you can keep them hidden in some closet or cabinet.

Since you probably already have a few cabinets and wardrobes in your home, try and re-arrange these to make more room. Once this is done, you will be able to fit more of your games in your current cabinets. The problem with this is that your games will probably have to be kept in separate places which will make them harder to find.

If you have some junk storing boxes around, you can also try and make use of these for storing your games. Just make sure that you are careful as to where you put them since boxes aren’t water proof. You can then place them in your garage or attic.

The truth is, you don’t have to buy brand new video game storage solutions. If you take a close look around your home, you may easily find places to keep your games.
