People dress for parties, for church, for sports and for special occasions. That would be the same for yoga practice.
Some traditional yogis think that yoga pants do not really matter. As a matter of fact, they do. Finding the right yoga pants will help a lot in doing your yoga poses. There are tall yoga pants, Capri yoga pants and even yoga shorts. Whatever kind of yoga pants you choose, check out first these necessary qualities of a yoga pants before purchasing one.
- Elasticity is an important factor in choosing your yoga pants. Doing yoga means a lot of bending and very flexible positions. Your yoga pants must be elastic enough to go with every bend, twist and turn of your body.
- Texture of the fabric is also imperative in considering a yoga pants. Choose something that will not scratch or feel itchy on your skin. A recommended material is cotton or cotton with a little combination of other fabric.
- Choose also a material that is breathable. You don’t have to sweat unnecessarily doing yoga, unless required. Avoid jogging pants as much as possible. On the other hand, avoid also a material that would be very explicit.
