Spring and summer is always right around the corner and so you need to start thinking about how your patio is going to be looking. Buying the right patio furniture covers isn’t as easy as it sounds and there are some important things to remember when selecting them.
If you have outdoor teak furniture then it needs to be protected and you have to make sure it’s done correctly.
Selecting the right patio furniture covers will potentially add years of life on to your current furniture. You could even own cheap teak patio furniture and have it last a life time with the right covers. Leaving it exposed to the elements will see it erode and rust away which will mean having to spend money on replacements every year.
You need to consider the cover size before you buy. Make sure you measure your furniture properly and get an accurate estimate of the height and width. Don’t simply buy the largest cover you can get as you will be wasting unnecessary money. Buying one that is too big will also take up too much space and also make your patio look ugly, so size is very important.
It is also important that you get a cover which has ties, loops or even Velcro to help hold it together. You will find that some cheaper covers will simply have no way of being able to hold it down and you will have to find additional items to do the job. Preferably go with ones that have zippers as these are most effective.
This might sound obvious but also make sure that the cover is waterproof. You will find that some of the cheaper ones aren’t waterproof and this is a potential disaster waiting to happen. If you take all these things into consideration then you should be able to select the right patio furniture covers with no problems.
